Um... hello, Manhattan! Especially people around the Bryant Park Hotel area... This is a public service announcement.

By now you have probably met my friend Hamel. He's blond and he wears a pointy black hat, and he usually has his hair brushed over one eye? Yes, well... you may have noticed that Hamel is an extremely strange person. And that's true!

If he demands you give him money or makes some other terrible request of you, you can be sure he is probably just kidding! He really does have a warped sense of humor...

But I'd also like to say that I know Hamel pretty well and he may seem completely impossible, but he really is a kind person. So please give him a chance and be extra nice to him, even if he's acting like a total jerk! I promise that he's actually a nice guy!

Yes, that's him. You two would get alo- well, um... maybe you wouldn't, but Hamel is sort of hard to get along with. He's very stubborn that way...

But he really is a good person, even if he acts a little sullen.

Uhhhm, no... Hamel's half mazoku. It's kind of a little bit worse than a wolf, I think.

I guess it's like what you might call a demon. The mazoku are a huge problem in my world... they torment humans and slaughter them just because they can, and everybody is afraid of them.

Hamel's father is, um... you get what I'm saying.
