I have a question!
This place has such confusing things! So many of the tools and machines here I've never even heard of... but some of it is pretty neat.
For example, I found something at the store the other day and I'm wondering if anybody can tell me how to use it... It's a small round flat thing, in the shape of a circle-- one side is dark and has writing on it, but the other side is very shiny and throws rainbows on the wall when you hold it into light.
Does this thing make music somehow? I think the sign said there was music on it... How do you get the music off of it so you can hear it?

You're at Bryant Park right? So there should be one somewhere in your room.

Um. It's not this thing on the kitchen counter with the handles and the two slots, right?

I really want to hear this music! It's a... CD? And the thing it came in says it has lots of wonderful violin songs on it.

Sounds like a lovely selection. You don't mind if I listen to a bit of it with you, do ya?

boyfriend plays the violin, so I know a lot of these songs through him. Beethoven and Mozart and Tchaikovsky and Bach...no subject
The round thing is a compact disk. They store information. Your computer should have a narrow slot in it somewhere where you can put it in -- the shiny side is the bottom. Depending on what kind of computer you have, you might have to fiddle with the menus to open a screen that will let you choose to play what's on the CD.
CDs don't just have music. They can also have things like research data on them, or video files.

Okay, I'll mess around with it and see what I OH HEY IT OPENED! Oh!! It fits! That's great! Thank you so much!
Say, can you tell me something else? What's a video?
